The Gated Sanctuary
Located on 6.5 private acres in the Snohomish countryside, surrounded by old growth trees...heal, rejuvenate, and relax.
Come for a massage; soak in the outside air in our jetted hot pools and Alaskan cold plunge; heat up in our eucalyptus chromotherapy steam room; spend some quiet time on our tea house next to our crystal reflection pond; or lose yourself on the meditative Muriel Lisa Prayer Path.
Heal, rejuvenate, and relax at The Gated Sanctuary.

"Where to begin? I've been getting massages regularly throughout my entire adult life. I have probably had hundreds of them in a wide range of spas. I have had spas and therapists that I have been satisfied with in the Seattle area, but based on reviews here I thought I would give the Gated Sanctuary a try.
I had a 90 minute massage with Kristine. I can confidently say that it was the best massage I have ever had. It was incredibly relaxing, energizing and filled with wonderful positive energy. For several days after the session I continued to feel very relaxed, grounded and filled with positive energy. What a wonderful experience. If you are thinking about it, I urge you to take the plunge and check out the Gated Sanctuary. It is truly a wonderful place with wonderfully talented people. I will definately be back."

"...the aesthetic surroundings filled with dark and gilt Indonesian woodcarvings, (brass peacock door handles!) deepens the pleasure of surrendering to the experience of "be here now". Frederick, my massage therapist for years in Seattle, has built a dreamscape in which he now practices his art: after hot steams and tubs with cold plunges between, tension has nowhere to hide. Standing naked in the open air, drinking a third bottle of water because it tastes so good, a rinse cycle has begun...and the best is yet to come under the dancing, intuitive and skilled hands of master Frederick. I have no doubt his hand-picked therapists are creme de la creme. The groove is pure bliss. Look, it is only because the place is worth the drive and so deserving of sustained success that I give it up for the GS...I really don't want to share, but some of you deserve this. The rest of you, please stay away."

"I have one word to describe my experience at The Gated Sanctuary in Snohomish...Divine! This little Shangri-la is nestled just minutes from down town Snohomish. It is quiet, serene and beautiful! I would recommend you soak in the hydrotherapy pools before your massage. I had a Swedish massage by Sarah, and it was wonderful. It was just the right touch for a relaxing massage. I capped it off with some time in the steam room. They have snacks and drinks that are included in the price of the massage. This is unlike any spa I have experienced. My massage and hydrotherapy was a gift from my brother for my 60th birthday! What a great way to celebrate my birthday! Please go and check out this little piece of heaven. The facility is immaculate and the employees are very professional and caring!
There is also a prayer trail that goes deep into the trees, it is very calming!"

"Last Friday was my first visit to GS and I cannot say enough about the amazing and positive experience. The entire time, from arrival to departure, was very relaxing and peaceful - and exactly what I'd hoped for. The massage with John "transported" me away from all that's been going on lately and was definitely the sweetest, most transformative 90 minutes I've ever spent. That being said, I can't wait to visit again. :) "

"This weekend I took my 21 year old daughter and headed off to the Gated Sanctuary. From the moment you enter, you are enveloped in peaceful beauty. The staff are gracious and friendly. The environment is peaceful and serene. Asian accents abound and lend a graceful beauty to your experience...The Gated Sanctuary is a treasure I am blessed to have found. You can be sure, we will be back, very soon!!"

"Sarah, who is a bodywork virtuoso, gave me the most intuitive massage of my life. It felt like bodywork in the best sense. She read my body's signs with such insight that I walked away feeling restored and rebalanced."

"Our time with you all last Sunday was incredible. What an amazing place! Literally feels like we stepped out of this crazy world and into a serene, peaceful, magical in-between world, like Narnia or something. Without question, the best massage either of us has ever received. Please pass on our deepest thanks to Frederick, we will return!!
(Soon I hope)."
