"My friend Jennifer and I came to the spa yesterday and it was so amazing. I had never been to a coed naked place before, so didn't know what to expect and was a tad nervous. "The location was stunning and majestic, the service was a 10+, surroundings of beautiful artwork from Thailand, Cambodia, Japan accentuate the relaxation of your day. Everything from top to bottom was very clean, high quality and the best materials.
The massage was one of the best I've ever had, and my friend said hers with Inga was amazing as well. We relaxed outdoors doing the hydrotherapy circuit moving from the hot tub to the cold therapy tub which was therapeutic and stunning in a good way!
It was a brilliant way to relax on a Sunday with my best friend, great snacks, warmed chocolate chip cookies following your massage, water, tea, and good company.
Here were a couple small but not insurmountable challenges, well worth overcoming- it is 100 percent co-ed including the locker room and shower area, steam room, everything. Clothing optional means you can wear a suit but be comfortable with a lot of nudity, at the end of the day we opted for personal comfort but nobody cares and after an hour you don't really focus on the nudity.
There is a private shower and changing area for anyone who just doesn't feel good about showering or changing in a co-ed environment.
The hidden gem was the heated toilet seat and bidet!
A absolute must do spa experience for anyone who loves massage or relaxation."

"He is an outstanding masseuse and was able to manage in my 90 minute session to take out some major tension in my back and neck. I'd definitely go back in a heartbeat and that's saying something since this place is an hour from my home. Missed getting to try the hydrotherapy but plan on it next time. Note though it is clothing optional in that section."

"I have been coming to The Gated Sanctuary since 2012 and I have enjoyed many massages there over the years. I have to say the massage I received yesterday was by far my favorite. It was a 90 minute session which was a mix of therapeutic and relaxation. I suffer from chronic arthritis and that causes my leg muscles to compensate for it. The therapist was able to alleviate the pain and give me stretches to do at home."

A place you will want to return to time and time again. Every employee is personable and respectful while striving to make your visit pleasurable. If you feel like a stroll, the prayer path is the perfect place. The statues encompass a variety of spiritual beliefs and enlightenment. "I honestly love this place. We were treated with excellence since we walked in the door. We were offered tea and were told of all the snacks and drinks we could consume on our time there. The service was superb. Flawless. I mostly never give these types of reviews but I figured it deserved one. The place was very clean. My sister and I only used the sauna and the outdoor seating. We were asked if we wanted extra clean towels and were always able to go out for snacks and drinks as many times as we wanted. The trees and scenery are to die for and I can't wait to go back for a day of peace and tranquility."

"Nestled in the Snohomish countryside, The Gated Sanctuary is a respite from the ever increasing traffic anarchy that surrounds Seattle. Check in, kick back and prepare to soak, steam and massage your troubles away. With family in town last weekend this was a wonderful treat for them...this place is truly a centre for healing.
Schloss Elmau in the Bavarian Alps in Germany is a spa I getaway to when I can. I accidentally discovered The Gated Sanctuary, a fortunate stroke of serendipity. We were greeted by Daniel who was very welcoming. The place is immaculate and tranquil. I recommend the centre with alacrity. Will definitely be returning."

"I'd be here once a week or more if I could. It's near-perfect. A real hidden gem around here for those of us used to a more European environment. Staff beyond friendly. Massage isn't the cheapest, but it is the best.

"I can only say this is what heaven may be like, and if it is sign me up. Suprise trip for my wife and this was the best thing I have ever surprised her with in years her words. The eucalyptus steam room was the best steam I have ever had and can not wait for the next round. The hydro therapy pools reset my body and prepared me for the massage that put me to sleep best part of the hydro portion of the spa is that it's all day long and was the finish that made this day perfect. That massage team is amazing and asked all the questions to be sure we were completely satisfied. If I could give 10 stars I would."

"My husband and I came here for our very first massage (a treat to each other for our first wedding anniversary). This gem is nestled away in Snohomish after a nice drive along some quiet backroads.
The massages were fantastic! I could go on and on about how friendly and accommodating the entire staff was. The atmosphere was soothing and a definite breath of fresh air, while the grounds were beautiful. I'm pretty sure I've never felt so relaxed or rejuvenated! "I stopped here yesterday on my way to White Rock from Seattle. What a gem! I thoroughly enjoyed the hot n cold hydrotherapy tubs, the eucalyptus steam room, &, best of all, my transcendental 2 hr massage from master massage therapist. This spa is nestled in a secluded natural paradise. The atmosphere is tranquil, the facilities immaculate, & the staff amazingly hospitable (make sure you have a warm chocolate chip cookie) :)
My overall experience was sublime. I recommended without hesitation & will definitely be back next time I'm in the area."

"Ok, let me start by saying, that the Gated Sanctuary was the highlight of my trip to Seattle. From the moment you drive up to the beautiful facility, you can tell that the relaxation is already setting in. As you enter, you are greeted by the nicest staff members, who were always smiling. A quick questionnaire, and a short tour later, I found myself in a eucalyptus steam room, sweating all my cares, and concerns away. The hydrotherapy circuit is clothing optional, so you need to be ok with seeing nudity. The outdoor pools are set in a wooded area, where the trees are beautiful and green, and relaxing to look at. All of the facilities are SPOTLESS, and the staff is very attentive to your every need, from bringing you water, to adjusting the jet pressure on the pools. If you have the inclination, definitely get a massage! Thanks to all the staff at the Gated Sanctuary, I will most definitely be back, on my next trip to the Pacific Northwest."

"This weekend I took my 21 year old daughter and headed off to the Gated Sanctuary. From the moment you enter, you are enveloped in peaceful beauty. The staff are gracious and friendly. The environment is peaceful and serene. Asian accents abound and lend a graceful beauty to your experience. There is a cool stone rain shower and steam room, two outdoor hotwater spas and a cold water dip pool that is truly invigorating! We spent time going from spot to spot in the spas and the cold dip, then into the steam room, and back again. We then had massages. I can truly say it was the BEST massage of my life!! The expertise is incredible. I have lower back pain issues, and he was very gentle, yet strong and healing while working on my back. I have never felt so relaxed, well cared for, and completely at peace. My daughter had an incredible experience as well. It was almost disappointing to have to leave this tranquil place. The Gated Sanctuary is a treasure I am blessed to have found. You can be sure, we will be back, very soon!!"

"I just spent the day at the Gated Sanctuary. I had a massage (one of the best deep tissue massages I've had), followed by a couple hours of soaking outside in a hot tub while a cold drizzle was falling. It was pure bliss! The staff went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. They offered beverages, warm cookies, and friendly smiles. I will definitely go back."

"My partner and I have been 4 times and will keep going back! TGS offers a combination of amenities and attributes that are hard to resist. The grounds and interior spaces are beautiful - situated among towering forest trees, elegantly appointed throughout, comfortable. The tubs are first rate - the 104 degree one for short bursts, ...the 100 degree one for longer soaks, and the cold plunge for in between. Powerful steam room with a cold water shower brings both extremes to one room. And simply the most skilled and effective massage I've ever had - these are gifted practitioners who develop a plan for your body. Long story short: we'll keep coming back and spending more time at TGS."

"I wanted to again thank you for making this amazing vision come to fruition. From the moment I turned into the driveway, I was greeted with stunningly beautiful grounds of the property.
After parking in the back, I took a few minutes to walk the prayer path. I had seen the photos on your web site, but they didn't do the surroundings justice, so even before entering the spa Iknew I was in for something special.
From the moment you greeted me, to the time I left, you and your staff catered to my every need. How you managed to perfectly time exactly when I was just about to have my last drink of water, you were right there to give me another one Ill never know, and it was much appreciated.
The showers, steam room, and pools were perfect, and both the inside and outside areas are so peaceful, serene, and tranquil. It was no surprise to find the other men that came and went during my stay were also very respectful of one another, quietly conversing or being silent when appropriate.
While it was very nice to have the light mist falling while sitting in the hot tubs, I can hardly wait to enjoy your facility when the warm sunny weather comes. I will definitely be returning many more times.

"I just experienced the best massage I have ever had. It was my first experience at The Gated Sanctuary and I opted for a 90 minute massage. The location is so tranquil and inviting, the atmosphere both in and out of the sanctuary very relaxing and nurturing and I instantly felt at piece driving up to this gem. All the staff I met were so friendly and considerate. I'm disappointed I waited so long to visit!!
I usually only get one massage a year, but I've already made an appt. for next month!
I did not try the Hydrotherapy Circuit on my first visit but have it planned for next month!!
This place is truly a wonderful escape and I plan to escape as often as possible!"

"It's secluded, beautiful, peaceful, and if thats not enough, the massage practitioners here are about as good as you can get. :-)
My GF is on the petite side and as a result has experienced many massage failures (too hard / won't adjust pressure / excessive boring in on a "problem" area, etc.) - BUT . . . . . using her as a reference point she always says she loves the massages she has received here. She has even stated that one of the several excellent massages from GS was the "best massage I have ever had ". ( High Praise Indeed )
As for me, I am easier to get it right on but I agree that I have only had excellent massages here.
The clothing optional hydro therapy is an awesome boost to the relaxed, camaraderie / sensuality about the place.
We are indeed fortunate to have a place like this to retreat to."

"The tranquility of the outdoor (hydrotherapy) area may have been my favorite part of The Gated Sanctuary. The 90-minute massage was the best I've ever had. I felt like parts of my back that have caused me discomfort were being worked on with intentionality. All around I was very impressed and would absolutely return."

"This is one of the best experiences I've ever had. I had gotten massages before going to the Gated Sanctuary, but I never really had the whole spa experience. The Gated Sanctuary was just what I'd imagined the spa experience would be. It was a place to decompress from the everyday stresses and let your conscious be free. The customer service was great. The cold water plunge, the hot tubs and the sauna are just what I needed to help with some of those sore muscles. Even with the weather a little colder and raining the hydrotherapy circuit seemed to be that much better. For those looking for a great year round place to relax the Gated Sanctuary is the place to go.
So that there are no surprises, understand that it is a clothing optional spa. I know my wife was alarmed when I told her of the spa being clothing optional, so I ended up going alone. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a place where my wife would feel uncomfortable. It wasn't such a place. To the women that were there, the men were very respectful... I didn't see any gawking or anything remotely similar. As for some men being uncomfortable around other naked men, it wasn't even an issue. Before going I imagined the men's locker room at the gym. The Gated Sanctuary is such a relaxing environment that after a while I barely noticed the nudity, (sounds weird I know, but true). I was so busy relaxing that I couldn't focus on anything else but well...me. Now where else can most people escape for more than 10 minutes and do such a thing? The Gated Sanctuary gets 5 stars from me."

"I typically like to get a massage when I travel for work, yesterday a friend and I went to The Gated Sanctuary and spent 6 hours of pure bliss. First with a shower and then dip in one of the hot tubs. Then we each got amazingly relaxing yet therapeutic massages and back to the outdoor deck for some hydrotherapy. Between the hot tubs and the cold plunge, coupled with the massage, I can honestly say that I woke up this morning feeling energized, a little sore but in a good way and eager for my next trip to The Gated Sanctuary."

"I had the pleasure of experiencing The Gated Sanctuary on it's opening weekend. Prebooked a 1 hour deep tissue massage preceeded and followed by 1 hour hydro therapy - eucalyptus steam with chroma therapy lights, 3 outdoor tubs (hot, less hot, and cedar cool plunge).
Everything at The Gated Sanctuary is so well thought out - customer service, the experience, the design & aesthetic (a great combination of Pacific Northwest, Japan and Asian influences). I've been to a number of spas over the years, both on land and at sea, and have to say this one ranks right up at the top.
One of my favorite take away memories would have to be sitting in one of the jacuzzi, looking up at the tall cedar trees and feeling so relaxed and at home. What a great 1-day mini vacation. Thanks guys."
